Snatch
Like the power clean, being good at this lift represents true athletic functional strength.
Another Olympic lift, the Snatch lift is all about explosion.
Grip the bar as wide as your arms can possibly extend.
Keep your arms straight throughout the lift.
Begin by assuming a squat dead lift position.
Feet should be shoulder width apart and shins should be next to the bar.
Then, in one dramatic motion, bring the bar over your head at full arms length utilizing your hip thrusting strength and never letting your arms bend.
With correct form you will find that the bar travels in a path very close to your body, never getting too far way from you where you can lose strength.
