| The band of black granite on the tomb symbolizes mourning and the balcony on top was where the country's leaders would watch military parades on Red Square. When the tomb is open for public viewing, all of Red Square is blocked off and the guards are very strict as to how people act inside the tomb. There is absolutely no talking, no hats, a respectful manner is expected at all times and it is strictly forbidden to carry a bag or to bring a camera inside. |
